Confused by written instruction for a knitted hat

I finished working in the round with smaller needles and no problem with 16 ribbing rounds. But, then I am told to switch to larger circular needles and in the next round it says to *k 1 o, p1; repeat from * to end. ( I understand Knit 1 and Pearl1 etc.)

What is o? If it is yarn over, it should say yo. If it is yarn over which increases stitches , I think my original ribbing 99 circular stitches would make the hat much too large. I don’t want to ruin this hat. I wonder if it is a mistake and should just be k1, p1 as it is now using a larger needle. Puzzled!

Thanks.

Confused by written instruction for a knitted hat

You're right about this instruction would make the hat very large. The "o" symbol is often used in a chart for yarn over. It's very odd to see it here.

I don't know how the pattern look like. I don't think it's a typo but it's a part of pattern required to work this hat.

Can you show me the picture and the rest of the pattern? Is there a link to the pattern? Or you can take a picture and sent to me at; ratchachambers @to-knit-knitting-stitches.com
