Armhole shaping

by Karen
(South Wales, UK)

Hello
I’m a little confused. I’ve come to the armhole shaping on the front left of a cardigan. The pattern says “work straight until armhole measures 7 rows less than back” it then goes on to do neck shaping and shoulder shaping. Do I work until 7 rows less than total length of the back or 7 rows less than the armhole shaping on the back?
Many thanks for your help
Karen

Hi Karen,

Yes, you work until you have 7 rows less than the total length of the back. Then you can begin neck shaping and shoulder shaping.

Thank you for the question.
