Aran ladder 3 stitch

I’m attempting an Aran sweater pattern. The ladder 3 stitch says to “take 1st to the front, K2, knit the 1 at the front”. Does this mean to take the 1st off in to another needle, then knit the next 2 stitches and then transfer the removed stitch back and knit it?
