Knit all knit sts and purl all purl sts

Question

Every other row in the pattern says knit all knit sets and purl all purl sets as they appear to last st
There are increasing and decreasing in the rows. I can't figure out what they mean.

Hi Dalene,

The pattern wants you to knit the knitted sts and purl the purls sts. (usually these are the wrong side rows). Don't worry about the increase or decrease sts but try to work each stitch according to its appearance (in this case knit or purl).

If this still seems confusing to you, sent me a longer pattern so I can look at it with a better explanation.
