Change In Knitting Directions (right side & then wrong side)

I would like to know what it means when a pattern tells you to knit on right side rows & then to knit differently on wrong side rows? I can't seem to make pattern come out right?

Right Side VS Wrong Side
by: Ratchadawan

Right side is the side you want it to show such as an outer side of a sweater. So, when we want to show the knit st on the right side of the sweater, we will knit on the right side and purl on the wrong side. The instruction would say something like this;

Row 1 (right side): Knit.
Row 2 (wrong side): purl.
Repeat row 1 and 2.

What is your pattern like? If you show me a few rows of instruction, I might be able to help get you start.

Will wait to hear from you.

Ratcha
